Listen now | (*Not actually commandments)The Substack Soirée is here to support you in showing up as the creator, writer and artist you want to be. Here on the podcast, we offer you a mix of insights and stories from guest interviews with a wide range of writers and creators on Substack, as well as our own (nerdy) reflections and things we know you'll love. We thought we'd start our first episode off with...
Thank you so much for the bits of wisdom! So nice to hear keely’s voice as well as Sarah’s! Makes me feel a little bit more in touch with you both! Thank you for what you do... it helps! Happy day!!! Xoxo
Ohmygosh, i died laughing with the “I already knew we could be best friends” 🤣🤣🤣 I think many of us feel that way after years of hearing + following Sara, and we know how our souls align so well with hers! 🙌🏼✨
What a lovely surprise in my email inbox this morning 🌞 Congratulations on such a lovely first and supportive podcast - hopefully one of many. And extra points to hearing a fellow Aussie voice! ❤️
Thank you Benjamin! More on their way for sure. It's funny re: Aussie voice, when Sara and I first started chatting I started by saying "how are you going?" and it totally threw her. "What do you mean how am I *going*? It's how are you *doing*? Apparently Aussies are weird for saying it, what do you make of that! 🤣
This was such a wonderful listen. The authenticity from you two is palatable. Thanks for sharing and giving us all the reminder to be our creative selves. ✨
PUT THE CREATIVITY FIRST! Yes!!!! and 'You do YOU'... its so easy to get caught up with the Substack stuff but actually the BEST thing is having this space to create, share and to express ourselves.
Yes! If it wasn't like this, I don't think either of us would be here to be honest. We guard and value our freedom to create in a way that feels right to us so highly. Substack just happens to be the place where that feels so possible. Playful and light and free, but with the options to be paid for it? Amazing.
This is so wonderful! What a treat to be welcomed with after returning home from an immensely creative few days in Melbourne. Can’t wait to dive into this later. Bravo ladies 👏👏👏
Thank you for this podcast. I have learnt so much. Number 9 used to apply to me until recently. I wouldn't post anything until Grammarly had said it was ok. It was stifling my writing which became a chore. I still use it but only for punctuation. I ignore everything else if I am happy with my words.
Keeley and Sara, thank you so much for this. It felt so “real” like two good friends talking. I felt the care and generosity for your audience and ME, even though we’ve never met. I’m so burned out and wary of the hustle - and almost didn’t listen. I’m so glad I did 💛🙏
Oh my gosh. It took me three attempts to listen to the whole thing. (Not your fault at all, just my life!) Is there a transcript forthcoming, or repurposed as an article. I’d love to have the 10 commandments somewhere to remind myself. Ooh, a printable!
I stumbled across this on Spotify when searching for some creative inspiration and am so grateful I did 💕 I've been feeling a bit like I've lost my creative spark over the last year or so and this was the boost and reminder I needed 🌟 Thank you!
Thoroughly enjoyed this chat. Relate to Keeley in wanting to get my voice out there (though very gingerly) after years of writing/ghostwriting for others/brands. This really started a fire in my belly.
I adored listening to this amongst the breakfast making this morning, while it rained outside. What a beautiful and nourishing list - forever staying true to myself! Loved you touching on how imagery tells the story so deeply!!
Aw, how beautiful. I feel like we were there with you, making breakfast while we watched the rain fall and natter away together. So glad that resonated with you - fiercely believe our stories are not limited to words alone. SO many ways to share and package tales. xx
What a refreshing and encouraging episode! Thank you! Love the emphasis on creativity and being true to yourself. 💕
Thank you Steph! This is amazing feedback to hear. 💕

Thank you Ellen! So lovely to have you here with us. xx

Just took her a little longer to realise it, that's all... 🤣💕

Odd couple hilarity unlocked! *cue Perfect Strangers theme song*

I'm so glad our heart came through. Hope you find some time for yourself and your creativity this week, just to play. xx 💛

Yes! You know us so well. 🙈💗
But the transcript is here on the show notes too. X
Oh! I should have kept reading!! Thanks 🫣

Hey Lisa, that’s amazing to hear. We just have to give ourselves a bit of space & freedom to play again. x ⚡️
How lovely you both are and so easy on the ear - accessible and wholly encouraging. Thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you! 💫

That's amazing to hear Emma. It's a strange feeling when you start to post under your own name, (even scary!) but that fire keeps us going. xx
