what my perfectionist brain struggles with is the white peaking out from behind custom buttons with round edges, that’s visible in dark mode only but annoys me that I stoped animations in my signature even 🫣
seriously need get my priorities right because an animated button or signature is so much more fun (despite white background) than a body Substack button or static signature (without animation)
Gosh, this annoys me so much too! It’s fine during the day, but I use dark mode when I’m up in the night feeding my baby. I stopped using the animated signature too. Why am I like this?! The branding and button bundles are beautiful and so generous of Sara and Keeley, I’m just annoying myself at this point! 🤦🏼♀️🤣
🤣 I resonate so much with this! Dang you dark mode! —you could also opt for straight corners to alíviate the pain, haha.
The only thing to consider is that physiologically speaking it comes across as more “serious and high-end”, “less friendly”, you know with the sharp edges—if it’s just a thin line around the square and same background color then it’s more “graceful”; anyway, there are options, any could work if that aligns with your Brand personality! 😁

I’m also a techy nerd with UX experience and I know all the things I need to do I just can’t for the life of me carve out time to make it 🙌🏼🥰🤍✨ thank you!
Yes! This all came about after we AGONISED over creating buttons for the Soirée checkout, in that way that I feel sure you can relate to 🙈😂. I think there were about 4 different versions before we were happy enough! Blue is definitely the language of links, but it’s so... blue sometimes, isn’t it? It’s so hard being us 😂
Ok, I have a silly question. I have created my buttons and LOVE them but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get text above my new subscribe button to be in the middle? I don't seem to have that option? Can anyone help or does it not matter?

Well, there went 2 hours easily playing with that! I like what I came up with, though, especially because I found a graphic of an Axolotl reading a book!
This and the branding bundle are amazing value adds thanks so much. I mean, I could play on these all day long. But I haven’t figured out my mood board yet. I’m struggling for a cohesive look that’s ME. So I’m going to resist it all for now until I have some idea!

Argh I hear you! These things plague me and my brain also. My solution is to never use dark mode and pretend this does not exist
